Bangalore Anime Club Christmas present ...... The Comic Cafe ^ __ ^

Hello all and Merry Christmas  from Bangalore Anime Club ^ __ ^

It has finally happened.. an entire cafe dedicated to Japanese Manga ( and other comics too ... ). Truly, Bangalore is the chosen city to spearhead the growth of Japanese animation and comics. Its called "Comic Cafe" and its just a few meters away from Forum Mall, Koromangala

I reached the place at 11:00 am and Sangeetha had already arrived. Then Myohei showed up, and finally Zeeshan.

We went in, to immediately discover their billing system.Turn out you will be given a receipt which has a time stamp of when you arrived. The amount you pay depends on how long you stay ... you can pick any comic and make yourself  comfortable on one of their modern barrel chairs ... makes you want to just cuddle up with your manga and fit in there all snugly-mugly-wugly :D


Oh they have a huge whiteboard ...  where people can pick a set of markers and start drawing. I took full creative liberty and managed to quicky sketch out a generic angry looking long haired bishi :D

The person in charge got me in touch with the owner, Mrs Meibo Ono, over the phone, She took time off her schedule and arranged to meet us immediately. She arrived at 2 pm and we talked about our respective enterprises. They started out just last month and they are planning on promoting soon.

What we expect from Comic Cafe.??
Its simply a great place with a huge collection of manga and comics, its makes a great meeting place for the club and we can definitely visit them once a month.  They in exchange get more customers. We can also have our activities like drawing, fan-art, etc here and contribute to the club and the cafe. Comic reveiws and recommendations.. we can get a whole list of things to do.
 All members... come up with ideas "What would you like to do at the Comic Cafe??"  points for creative answers.

Thanks a bunch to Zeeshan for finding this place and letting us know. Sangeetha and ...  for planning this. I cant forget Akshay who had told me about this a while back, but had totally forgotten about it.
