Club Diary - 29th November '09

Members Present: Ronin (Pres), Panda (VP), Rahul, Mandeep, Preethi, Sriniket, Bharath and Trinity. oh yeah then there was rare appearance by Konark.

This week it was the the votes meet for the shoujo category.

We had to pick between 3, well i cant say much else other than fantastic shows.

We started the day with Kimi no Todoke.

i thought this was fan-freaking-tastic. It was fuuunny. It was possibly one of the first shojo shows that i have watched, predictably i loved it. This show was about this girl named Sawako, which exudes this dark and scary aura and hence is called Sadako(a character from the Movie "The Ring"). She is introduced as scary, but then it seems that she is a complete people pleaser. We are also introduced to this uber cute guy who has this awesome personality who is liked by everyone in Sawako's school. Cant remember his name for the life of me, and like any other girlie show, boy likes girl and girl likes boy, atleast that is what we are shown.

From here we move onto, Lovely Complex, while i thought the previous show was funny, i think this was on a different plain altogether. It was roll on the floor holding your stomach kinda funny, we meet Risa Koisumi (whose last name means little spring), she is around 172cms tall. ironic huh? Meanwhile the male lead, Atsushi Otani (whose last name means Big Valley) and he is about 156cms tall. The story tells us about each of these individuals and their experience in High School with their friends. This one is a must watch....especially all the girls out there...i am sure it would not do you too much harm.

Lastly we watched Kara Kano Jijou (His and her circumstances), it is a good show to begin with the chibi moments which Rahul thought were funny. Panda's reason for wanting to watching this show was the level of character depth that the show has. We meet this girl (Yukino Miyazawa) who is perfect is school and her interaction with people outside but inside her house she is complete slob, which shocks her sisters and puzzles them. Her arch nemesis is a new boy (Soichiro Arima) in school who is a treat to her popularity in school, he is cute and has brains, now that is a lethal combination. Throughout the episode we see her obsessing about how is existence is a threat to her popularity and admiration. On the other hand he seems to have a thing for her, which he confesses to her. I believe she rejects him, but the end of the episode we see her loitering around in her house being the slob that she is and Arima comes to visit her and sees her as she actually is without the facade she puts up in school....lets see how that goes from here.....

Then we had the votes for the show and the first time is BAC's history i am told that we had a tie two time during one vote-out.

Anyway in the end KKNJ won so much to my disappointment.
